I am wondering if Philip Gilmore's father was John Gilmore who was descended from John Boyd Gilmore from Co. Antrim. He married Barbara Spotswood.
There were 3 generations of John Gilmore who were Barristers in Belfast and Dublin. I am trying to find out more about these Gilmores as I think they are my ancestors. John Boyd Gilmore born 1777 and died 1859. I dont know who his son John and grandson John married and when they were born but they were all Barristers and very clever.
