WILLEM VAN DER HORST (approx. 1844 - 1904)

Willem van de Horst was 40 years oud when his son Arnoldus was born on Aug. 29, 1909 in Utrecht. William was a 'kleermaker' and he was living in the Kapelstraat. Arnoldus' birth was registered on Aug. 30 1909.

Here is a link to the cemetery where the brother of Arnoldus and his wife are buried. The brother's name is william and he was born in 1903 and he married Martha Thiland who was born in 1906.

As being a Van der Horst myself, I did an awfull lot of research on the name so if I can be of any help just ask. One of the lines is based in Utrecht and the name Willem is frequently used there. That does not mean this Willem is from the same family as there are lots of them but I can give it a try. Silvia

In fact my OWN FATHER (Jan Hendrik van Eck 1909- 1978) has ALSO Van der Horst in HIS family from TWO sides!!!! We think that maybe my husband and I are also related, because my father's family were ALSO from distrct UTRECT!!!!! (Mostly Rumpt, Beesd, Tricht, ect) '

I will be researching further on that side after this project...so I will most definately contact you!!!
