This profile should be Alan la Zouche's *father*, Geoffrey, Vicomte de Porhoet (fl. late 11th-early 12th century, d. 1142). Geoffrey was never known as "Zouche" - no one was so known before Alain (d. 1190), he was so known only in England after 1170, and only his *descendants* - none of his ancestors - ever went by that name. We don't even know whether it evolved from a nickname or a French property that Alain owned, only that he was earlier known in Brittany as "Alain Ceoche".
While Geoffrey de Porhoet *did* marry someone named Hawise, she wasn't the daughter of Alain "Fergant" of Brittany. That one had an unfortunate childhood marriage, which was annulled 1111-1115, and she is not recorded to have ever married again. ("Hawise" was an extremely popular name in the 11th-12th centuries, and Western Europe was full of 'em.)
Alan la Zouche's three known sons were William ("alias de Belmeis", d. w/o heirs bef. June 1199), Roger (paid fine for his brother's lands June 1199, d. before 14 May 1238), and Philip (also "alias de Belmeis", d. after 1185-1190). No Geoffrey. http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLISHNOBILITYMEDIEVAL3T-Z.htm#Ala...
The Zouche-Greene connection is obscure and undocumented, despite popular legends. Who Alexander was before acquiring from King John the lands and title of "Greene of Boketon", and who his parents were, are unknown.
