In "Meet Your Hammond Relatives" (1975), Mildred Clark Womack, wrote:
"Samuel as a young man moved to Fairfax County, Virginia and in the county at the age of twenty eight he married Mary, the young widow of William Jenkins."
Since 1975, has this issue of the identity of Capt. Samuel Morris Hammond's wife been explored? Does anyone have any insight into the issue?
