John LEES arrived in Sydney in 1797 on "Ganges"

He currently has 2 sets of parents

Samuel Lees and Phoebe Lees

John Lees and Lori Jean Lees

Can anyone add any source documentation on either sets of parents?

I am a descendant of John Less(Soldier) and Mary Stevens (Convict).
I attended the 200th Family Reunion in 1997 from the arrival on the" Ganges" in 1797.
I do not know who John's parents are. John Lees was born on Stoke-On -Trent. He enlisted in the NSW Corps in England and came to Australia on the "Ganges" to serve his 7 year contract.

If the recruitment documents could be sourced they may contain John's parents' names.

Birth Certificate would be helpful too.
