At the start of the Second Anglo-Boer War, R.J.W. Swanepoel would have been 39. There is a possibility that he could have been on Kommando given the fact that his wife, E.C. Swanepoel, died on 15 Sep 1901 in the Klerksdorp Consentration Camp whiles there is no record of him being in any camp. Can anybody validate this hypothesis?
