If Matthew died at sea circa 1720, how could his son Joshua have been form 10 September 1740?

Matthew is shown as having been married to Martha Muk Willson who shows to have died in 1729. He also shows to have been married to Eleanor Mitchell Willson who also died at sea circa 1720.

Something is off. Does anyone know any more about these dates?

I have had a look at various online trees. They all agree that Matthew died 1720.

I looked at Joshua (son born 1740) but all the trees had no parents records could be located.
One did mention that Matthew Wilson who died at sea 1820 was possibly Joshua's uncle.

Sorry on my phone so can't copy links but if you google 'Joshua Wilson' 1740 you shoud find the reference.

Sorry 1820 should have been 1720

I have run across a DNA relative who has different parents listed for Joshua. I'm going to investigate.
