Hi, We are trying to make a connection to a known genetic match and the Starzewski family of the eastern borderland of Poland (Polish Kresy) today western Ukraine.
There are several spelling variants none of which matters as much as heritage in Wolyn or Galicia oblast within 5-8 generations or perhaps current day eastern Poland.
Please let us know if you have the J-M172 gene match and hail from that region.
We are probably family!

...and anyone from the J-Z482 subgroup of J-M172 with ancestors in the Kresy region would be *particularly* interesting.

Hi guys

My father is from Polish Kresy (now Wolyn) and I have J-M172 haplogroup. But my father was born out of wedlock and I know nothing about my grandfather. May be we are relatives.
