Last name CULLIP/COLLOP vs. Germanic KOHLHEPP

I wonder if my surname is closely related to the Old Germanic/Bavarian surname KOHLHEPP? Kohlhepp is German for cabbage farmer. However, research states that my last name Cullip/Collop relates to "bacon" (surnamedb.com site). The spellings are similar.

It's hard to tell if my last name Cullip is the Anglicized spelling of KOHLHEPP.
