My Aunt researched our Joubert family history some years back. We are descendants of Francois Nicholaas Joubert and Sophia Adriana Pretorius. Their son Petrus married Helena Catharina Pretorius (born 1873) - they are my great grand-parents. I have in my possession an old High Dutch bible with the following words inscribed on the front cover - 'Berseba, F. N. Joubert, den October 1877'. Helena Catharina re-married after Petrus died in the early nineteen hundreds and she and her second husband (Munro) subsequently moved up to Hartley in Rhodesia. I would like to communicate with other descendants of the above union and learn more about the Joubert family.
