We don't know where or when the actual Rev. Hopkins was born or died. We have no family information on him.

There's nothing found in Norfolk for this guy. Follow his paper trail in link above. Also see the confusion with Katherine Wheldon. You'd have to have a background of Giles Hopkins before you can understand how funny that one is.

Needless to say all the "Confirmed Matches" are neither confirmed or matches if we're trying for a real person. No evidence he's from Norfolk. That was invented in the book and then submitted to LDS and copied ever since. Case in point -- check out the 2 "sources" shown in the Sources Tab.
