I've found quite a few places where one can look at source documents if you are a subscriber and they all point to her maiden name being Schouwermans

Name: Anna Schouwermans
Spouse: Hans Smidt
Birth: 1630 - Maastricht, Netherlands
Death: Netherlands

I may even have found another son:
26-11 Hans Wilhelm, sone van Joannes Smit en Anna Schouwermans.

Marriage Place: Bergen op Zoom, Nederland
Role: bruid
North Brabant, Netherlands, Markiezenhof Marriage Index, 1597-1810 (in Dutch)

This was the end merge in a line of merges, so I don't know the profile at all. There wasn't info on the profile to help me decide between the data conflicts, so I thought I'd keep the alternative in case it was useful to managers. This is a fantastic outcome - thankyou. I'll add when I'm on my computer, if the managers haven't done so themselves by then.

Anna was born in 1630. If she married in 1680 how is it possible for son Hans Wilhelm to have been born in 1656 or am I reading this wrong?

Jan (Johannes) Smit, SV/PROG born c. 1662, also before marriage date 0f 1680. There are a few possibilities here why the dates don't look right.
e.g. women can have children out of wedlock.
Transcription of the wedding date incorrect.
There were more than one couple names Anna Schouwermans and Hans Smidt

Also found this information but I can't access the record - pay site.
Marriage to: Joannis(Hans) Smidt Valkenburg, Maastricht, Netherlands Mar 7 1649. Huweliksmaat: Anna Smidt (gebore Schouwermans).

Geni is now showing her as having died in 1662, yet note says she married 16 Mar 1680? Can someone have a look at this again please.

Hmm, I think Charlette's correct. We're looking at different Annas.

"There were more than one couple named Anna Schouwermans and Hans Smidt"
I also mentioned that possibility earlier. We will need to find her death notice to be 100% sure.

There were actually more than 2. I found another one who had a child in 1700.

Well, at least we know this spelling is pretty common :-)
