I'm a bit confused about the Scottish v. English connection for this John Cheney. I see that most of the Cheney folks were from England but there is some evidence that this John and his wife Martha Parrot were from Scotland, or at least maybe she was. Was he born in England, met and married her in Scotland and they eventually immigrated to Massachusetts? They're my son's paternal direct ancestors, so I'm trying to sort it out for his tree. Thanks for any clarification.
