I believe two James Kendalls have been accidently merged into one. There is James who married Mary Coffey and James who married Ann Lucas. I am the adminstrator of the Kendall DNA Project and Y-DNA suggest these are two distinct men.
In addition, my personal research of the Stafford County Virginia land and personal property land tax records support James, husband of Mary Coffey, died sometime between 1804-1807 when he son Jesse was devised the property and taxed.
James Kendall husband of Ann Lucas died in 1798 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. It was belived they were the James and Ann selling property in Stafford County, VA around 1783. The James and Ann selling property in Stafford is most likely and brother to George Kendall, son of William Kendall and Jemima Kirk, who sold their inheritance on the same day.
Hi Stephen. Have a great Thanksgiving.
