Pearl Margaret McClure (McKenzie) - Granddaughter

Hello Helen,
There is very little that I can tell you about Pearl. My connection is with her husband, David McClure. Before marrying your grandmother he was married to Eileen Rene Collins. They had at least 4 children before their divorce. Eileen later married Joseph Stephenson Armstrong who is a distant cousin of mine. Joseph had previously been married to a girl he had met in Wales during the war but she died shortly after coming to Melbourne.
David and Eileen were from Bendigo. They had a wedding in 1913 at the cathedral there. David was a newspaper reporter. When he got a job with The Argus he moved to Melbourne and left Eileen with his parents who didn't like her. Things worsened and she obtained a divorce in 1923. There are reports of this in 1923 newspapers that you can access on Trove-type in David Gordon Leslie McClure.
I only obtained Pearl's name because I was curious what happened to David after the divorce.
