Thank you! This is my family. The Gauthier's, my gr Harris' line were French Canadian. The Gregoire's were French. Catherine "Torey" is really Tovey and my gr grandad's 2nd wife because the 1st who bore the 3 girls died. The 3 girls were my grandmother and 2 gr aunts, Doris, Grace, and Martha. There's a difference between French and French Canashdian. Lots of French Canadians in Bay City, especially the school I went to. My Gauthier line pronounce their name "Gokey" This is the "Indian" pronunciation for Gauthier. Gram was suppose to have some Native in her, but there's no one to ask.

My grandfather originally said his heritage was English & Welsh, and Irish from his mother. There's a lot of confusion with duplicate names of William, Thomas, Edward.etc. There's a Nathan that was in Am. Rev. not sure he's my line. We originally thought gramps ancestor was a sea captain. Then a relative had thought it was the Thomas Harris associated with the Dale Co. in Henrico in 1611. So there's some untangling to do.
