James Field Spalding died in Cambridge in August 1921.
see http://cambridge.dlconsulting.com/cgi-bin/cambridge?a=d&d=Tribu...
An important correspondence between him and the Irish writer/novelist/poet Canon Sheehan of Doneraile took place between 1889 and 1892. See Collected Letters of Canon Sheehan of Doneraile, Smenos Publications 2013.
Am looking for the counterpart of these letters (Sheehan to Spalding) - at least six letters were still in JFS's possession in 1914 (see Herman Heuser papers in Philadelphia Archdiocesan Historical Research Centre)
Many thanks.
