I am looking at the profile of Pieter Gerhardus Gouws: Private

Apparently this person passed away already in 2014, but the software program of Geni never picked that up.

Geni is still expecting us to fill in his email so that we can invite him to our tree.

Another thing is that there is no profile manager because he himself started the tree.

How should I go about becoming a manager of this profile?

Report him deceased from the 'Action' menu of the profile. Customer Service will then act and close his account with Geni. You will get a message when it has been done.

No but they have big widescreen cinemas, none of that will unfortunately help.

I am just trying to find out if they are organised there in the spiritual world. I would hate to arrive there only to find out that the only entertainment is to sit outside the town on one of the anthills... at that area where the cars are entering town... watching the Coca-Cola advert.

Johan obviously thinks Geni as a company have such contacts since he belive the program should be able to pick up that he is deceased. Unfortunately no, Geni does not add or update anything, - the users, usually close family and friends is responsible for that.

Thank you cousin Bjorn for that explanation... I see what you mean... I reported the profile as I was advised earlier... and still nothing seems to have changed, I am not sure who the one was that is supposed to receive that report.

But thanks for that explanation cousin Bjorn... I will wait patiently for one of the close relatives to start paying attention to the issue... if nothing happens I will try and remind them again.
