The last I found John Hawkins of King William Co. was in the patent records for VA. in June of 1726 where his received a patent in Spts. Co. 400a on both sides of Tery's Run (Terry's Run) which he left to be divided between his wife Mary and four children Elizabeth Smith, Philemon Hawkins, Phebe Smith and Mary Cragg. 1740, 1742, & 1747 deeds between heirs.

The first I found John Hawkins after his death was 3 November 1726 Spts. Co. Court. Charles Goodall vs Mary Hawkings and Joseph Hawkings executors of John Hawkings decd.

Then 3 March 1727/28 when Joseph Hawkings asked the court to value 400a that was left him by his father John Hawkings decd. lying on both side of Terry's Run alias Jigging River part of a patent granted Harry Beverley Gent.
that deed between Harry Beverley and John Hawkins of King William Co. Planter. dated 3 July 1725.

I don't understand why he would be buried in St. Anne's parish Essex Co.,as he probably was not the John Hawkins in 1705 records of St Anne's Parish Essex Col

I think we got that sorted - there were at least two of him. :-)
