This is a Geni Special Collection
The information was by their "own mouth"
Any other sources would depreciate this project.
The process of working here will be long, it is not a "quick and dirty" affair.
I am looking for discrepancies, some already found.
The process of finding and adding these persons to the project is part of the checking of the tree and searching discrepancies.
I am trying to match and identify the photos and especially the women that has been stated is difficult.
This was the beginning of what is well known as the "Adelaide Establishment".
I am also trying to ascertain why certain people did NOT attend, as stated all colonists pre 1841 were invited, none of my many attended.
Was this event what cemented the "establishment" OR was it biased on the acceptance that was already in place?
Seems many of the attendees children married each other, many were Knighted, its very interesting.
If you did not grow up there, and attend school/socialize with their descendants and recognize the names, you may not be fully qualified to collaborate.
The photos are by courtacy of the South Australian State Library, who hold re-print rights, No Book Here!
Erica Howton can you please add this to a special collection?
