Every? ....... What about the 28th US President..... Woodrow Wilson? I do not see him listed. I am bloodline to all presidents except 2. Woodrow Wilson and Donald Trump (only thru marriage). My great grandmother was born a Wilson and I am at a brick wall for her dad's tree, so I may be blood to Woodrow too.

Oh... also, Alfonso is my 24th great-grandfather.

Hello, I'm a little confused. I checked and found that I'm a direct descendant of Alfonso VII. Now, if all of the presidents are also direct descendants of Alfonso VII, they should all be related to me, but they are not. I am related to many of them but apparently not all of them. I counted 38 using the tool that Randy provided. The remaining 7 were listed as indirect relations, meaning no blood relationship was found.

Try using the push pin on the president's profiles that are not showing an all blue path. Type in the search one at a time all of your great grandparents and see if it shows THEY are all blue. I think most individuals are only going to show no all blue paths to two presidents.... Donald Trump and Woodrow Wilson.

I didn't entirely follow what you were saying, because if my grandparents were direct descendants, it would follow that I would be a direct descendant as well.

That said, you've just opened up a whole new world for me, because up until now I had not been aware of the pushpin at all. This is huge!

I didn't say that quite right. What I should have said is that if my grandparents were blood relatives to a president, then as a direct descendant of my grandparent, wouldn't I also be a blood relative to the same president? Or am I not thinking clearly?

Before geni would show you both a blood path and an in-law path, it would only show a closest path. I found many, many, new connections to profiles by using the push pin from my great grandparent's profiles. How much that still holds true, I am not sure....can you tell me one of the Presidents that you don't have an all blue path to? (besides Wilson and Trump)

I see what the problem is now. Sheesh! I'm not a direct descendant of Alfonso. I'm only a cousin, i.e. 7th cousin, 21 times removed. So, that is a horse of a different color!

Very interesting that you are a cousin to both me and my husband :).

Now I see that there is a bit of a glitch in the Path to Presidents User Tool. The report that got emailed to me only showed the in-law path, and not the blood-related path. Apparently, it justs lists one of the paths, and defaults to the shorter one, regardless of whether it is the in-law path or the blood-related path. But, when I click on the link in the report, and actually go to the Presidents profile, I can see both paths, and that one of them is a blood relation. That really threw me!
