Family anecdote: I remember family lore from the 1970s and 1980s that my Great Uncle Bryant was part owner of a smorgasbord restaurant in Lafayette, Indiana called "Morris Bryant Inn". The restaurant was destroyed by fire in 1994, and was rebuilt. However, on opening day the restaurant was struck by a tornado and destroyed again, this time for good.
I met Uncle Bryant only a couple of times in the 1970s. However, I do remember him emphasizing that he was my GREAT Uncle Bryant, so I'm pretty sure he had a funny sense of humor.
