The records of Richard Ball - http://www.ballfamilyrecords.co.uk/olivier/I111.html also need to be consulted.

And http://www.ballfamilyrecords.co.uk/olivier/I112.html
Geertjen Gerrits

Also FFYP - http://www.e-family.co.za/ffy/g5/p5295.htm and http://www.e-family.co.za/ffy/g5/p5296.htm

Neither of these (very Respectable sources) say anything about two wives of the same/similar names - so I think we need to tread carefully - SAG may not be correct - if they are then we need documents to support their claim - FFY and Richard are very thorough in their search of sources and nothing is listed in their pages.

SAG statement "1662 Margaretha (Geertjen) GERRITS (sy skoonsuster) v. Hardenburg, Nederland + Maart 1692, vermoor deur slaaf," needs some supporting documents

This was previously discussed - Started by June Barnes on Friday, 24 October 2014 - see also attached to his profile.

SAG-statement that Alida and Margaretha were sisters is the best we have. Unless someone can come up with other records I accept GISA'statement.

Esther have you looked at the other links and the previous discussion?
