Nancy D. Coon reports in https://www.geni.com/discussions/160065?msg=1105542 that she has reported a profile as deceased several times now - and all that has happened is that now it has "stated that the profile was reported." - I thought reports of Death by a Relative were usually handled pretty quickly. Is Customer Service overworked, or is something else going on here?

I reported David Aron Palunisch as a claimed historical profile shortly after Aug. 15 (when he was reported as having edited one of the profiles I manage - and when I used push-pin to find his relationship to the profile in question, who lived c 1869 to 1947, I found to my shock that David was the profile's "sister-in-law's grandfather" - and looking at David's Tree, I saw his wife was born in 1826 and he had children born 1858 to 1873) - and was told back then that he had already been reported. He still appears as a claimed profile, looks like nothing has happened. How long should it take? Or can we even expect anything to happen?

Anyone have a suggestion for Nancy?

I am not at all sure Curators can help with either of these - so did not post in the Curators Please Assist thread - is that an appropriate place for these types of issues, or ??

Lois,

Thank you for sending my problem forward. Hope someone can resolve the issue.

Nancy

Responded to Nancy's thread / issue; Lois I'll look at Panalunisch in a few minutes...

Mike's comment appears to me as 12:32 pm today, and my e-mail shows a message from geni at no-reply.com at 3:32 pm today thanking me for my Report and stating David's profile "has been deactivated" - so seems that's been resolved also.
Not sure if it was due to Mike's intervention - but suspect so. Thanks, Mike!
