On Sept 25 1749 there was a meeting of The Ohio Company. The note says that in August that year he was elected to the vestry of Truro Parish, along with his neighbor Daniel McCarty, of Cedar Grove, who had just married Sinah Ball. Is it possible this is the same Daniel McCarty who fathered a Jacob McCarty by Sinah Ball in 1750? On May 19, 1758 Sinah Ball married Thomas Beale, and may have birthed another Jacon McCarty in 1765. Sinah lived until 1798. This could possibly explain two Jacob McCarty's, but why is the second named McCarty not Beale? (kick me - why are there two Jacob McCarty's with a mother Sarah (Sinah) Ball?)
