Be very careful with respect to the Daniel McCarty / Jacob McCarty lineage, as it is in dispute. There were two Daniel McCarty's who lived near each other, and as far as I know may have been related in some unknown way. Sue Abrasco (sp?) originally claimed, with land records, that the Daniel who married Agnes was not the father of the Jacob McCarty who married my ancestor Mary Morrow. Later she said a DNA study shows she has a male in her family who carries the genes of Mary Morrow. This leaves bit of a mystery, doesn't it? I plan on adding my DNA to the mix someday soon.
I have been unable to prove to myself any relationship to the Virginia McCarthy family. The truth will eventually be made evident via DNA studies.
