Colin Bruce Milne, you've left a tree conflict on this profile after your merges. Can you come & fix it, or others of us have to clean up after you - and you've left me 8 Tree Conflicts so far today, so I'm battling to keep up with you.

Sharon, cut the gut some slack. We all aren't as computer savey as you and others. Perhaps this was an accident and like me wouldn't or doesn't know how to fix it. Sometimes you don't know their are other connection , until it's too late. Some of us have done all our work old school and like it better that way and Geni is just another newer tool. I for one have only had a computer a few years. I use to use library ones. In fact that's how I found Geni. I like putsing around, looking in file cabinets and books , graveyard, whenever [possible. I like reading off paper. I have a heck of a time reading off the computer. I manage but it's not my first choice. Give the guy a break. Give all of us a break, please. Don't cop an attitude. Kinder and gentler, works better , in most cases. We are all in this together and we all work differently to get get to the same point. Judy
@Sharon Doubell, applause for what you are trying to do here. Those who respect Geni seriously enough to actually learn how to use it and hope to see improvements really need you to keep after the destructive ones who don't seem to realize the harm they are doing by trying to keep their unworkable habits intact. We've all seen people here who just refuse to learn. Gentle prodding works for some I'm sure, but others need a solid push. Some need a kick in the butt.
Abby we are not all alike. It's not because we don't want to learn. It's because we are wired defiantly and struggle sometime. It takes us longer. That doesn't make us unable, or uninterested, in learning. it just makes us getting to the same spot differently. This doesn't mean a person is destructive With this type of attitude , you will lose good people , with good info, that you might never find without. If you push, I am the type as are many who will dig in and fight you and a lot of my info you would never have without my family info, as I am the only one who has most of it and I am the one who who has mad the connections. You can't treat people like dirt you know. I will take everyone of my profiles off from 1900 to now. This why I don't put a lot info in, that I have or people names of birthdates if they are alive. I wouldn't remove any really old ones as other people are involved . Please don't step on me or try to kick my butt. That's just not nice and we need to play nice, The gentleman who was being referred too , as I said just might be new to this. Treat him badly and you could lose him and a lot valuable info/.
Colin is a power merger, not a new user, and has been asked repeatedly in private, by numerous curators, over many months, to stop leaving Tree Conflicts for others to clean up all over the Medieval Tree. He has been asked to join and help on the Medieval Tree clean up project.
Thank you Abby, your kind words are appreciated. Sometimes it seems as though we'll never make any headway in cleaning up the sea of conflicts on the Medieval Tree.
Ruth and Judy, I would be genuinely delighted by any solution to the problem.
Because numbers of nice messages to Colin from the Medieval Curators have failed to even produce a reply, I am now approaching the problem directly.
8 tree conflicts can easily be created in a matter of minutes, if you are power merging in areas that you don't know, without worrying about the tree conflicts you're merging in.
But in order to fix 8 Tree Conflicts on the Medieval Tree you have to do research - so resolving them takes hours and often days.
Both of your help would be much appreciated - in engaging Colin and in helping to resolve the Tree Conflicts he has created. I will invite you both to the Medieval Tree Clean Up project.
