I don't speak Finnish. Can anyone explain the birth and death dates that are shown. Geni says this is my 10th great-grandfather. How can he have been born and died the same year and married and had children?
His birth year is not known - only the death year is estimated based on the records in Henkikirjat (taxation revision lists). I removed the birth date that was place there by mistake.
Thank you for the very prompt response,Reijo. I appreciate it. I'm very proud of my Finnish ancestry, but wish I understood Finnish. It would make research easier.
