Private, can you come and take a look at this one? Your Curator note says "Please be careful with merging. This profile has the same wife and mother and merges have been done and undone. Contact a curator if needed." Are you saying that their names are actually both Marianne, or that somebody has married this man to his mother?
Which wife and which mother are the correct ones to resolve the data conflict? There don't seem to be any Sources to help figure it out. Thanks.

The mother and wife have the same 1st name but we don't know the surname (NN/PN) of the mother.
Unless somebody can proof otherwise.
This profile has been in question and discussions quite a few times.

Also see the wife is Marie Anne de Maugere and the mother is Marianne.
One of those difficulties. I think we will need a France researchers to figure this out and get us some record. ☺

Okay great.
I've removed Neel from both the women's Surname fields - as they weren't likely to have taken it

Is the mother likely to have been Marianne Anne, or is that a typo? Marianne Anne Neel

Do we have any Sources anywhere?

I reworded this sentence in the Curator Note "This profile has the 1st name that is similar to his wife but the mother surname is unknown." to say
"Pierre Néel's mother's 1st name is similar to his wife but the mother's surname is unknown." Just edit so you stay the the Curator name on that note.
