Sal Cirone and Private User I can not see the discussion that was started on 8/1 because I am not within the "Family Group"

Ronnie told me a little bit about the concerns though so I can try to help.

First, Geni seems to refer to a parent's previous spouse as "stepfather" or "stepmother" even when that spouse was deceased prior to to the "step" child even being born. I agree it's a little odd looking at times. I'll ask a bit...maybe there is some reason behind it...

Sal Cirone, yes your mother Rosaria "Sarah" Oliveri is listed here on Geni as being the daughter of Giovanbattiste Battista Oliveri.

To summarize a bit, Sal Cirone your mothers mother was married first to Alberto Muceo. They had at least five children
1) Giuseppa Muceo (b. 1890)
2) Giuseppa Cummuta (b. 1891 - d. 1944)
3) Rosaria Muceo (b. 1893 - d. 1894)
4) Rosaria Muceo (b. 1895 - d. 1896)
5) Rosaria Muceo (b. 1897 - d. 1898)

Alberto Muceo died sometime after the time of conceiving #5 in summer 1896 and the death of #5 on June 5, 1898. I have been unable to find a record of his exact date of death.

Maria Antonia Muceo-Oliveri then married Giovanbattiste Battista Oliveri and it looks like they had at least 5 children
1) Rosaria "Sarah" Oliveri
2) Vincenzo "Charles" Oliveri
3) Antonio (Tony) Oliveri
4) Rosa "Rose" Cirone
5) Gaetana "Ida" Cirone

They all appear to be attached to the correct biological fathers. Am I missing something else?

Thanks

John

However, the "Edit" Immediate Family link seems to only be available on living profiles so it does not let me edit Rosaria Oliveri to prevent Alberto from being listed as her "stepfather"
