Alex - the 'old' JGM has been removed; I do notice that his mother was one year old when he was born, however.
Also, 'old' JGM has a father with the same name (Alex) as 1910 JGM, and Alex has a mother with the same name as 1910 JGM's grandmother, and born "before 1955" so I think these individuals are being mixed up.
JGM 1910's parents (Alex & Anne) are now missing, although the same names appear as parents of old JGM
I have added JGM1910's father, but do not have a Geni subscription, so when I try to do much else, all I get is an offer to subscribe. Further ancestors of JGM1910 remain absent.
I notice that the JGM who is linked to this discussion has a mother and wife of the same name, as you point out the mother is only 1 year older than the son!
Clearly that is wrong but what is correct?
Can you link 1910 JGM to this discussion so i know I am looking at the same person as you. (copy the http address from his profile page and then paste it in this discussion)
PS i merged your father's two fathers as it wasn't helping my crossed eyes, hope that doesn't spoil anything you had planned.
Alex
James 1910 is: (No Name)
His parents were James G Sr. and Leah,
Parents of Jame G Sr. were Alexander Gardiner and Anne
Alexander Gardiner Milne was illegitimate, father unknown, mother Christian.
So the 1792 JGM is the son of Alexander Milne and has two sons he names Alexander. He doesn't appear to have any brothers named Alexander but the tree here on Geni doesn't show any children for the known siblings of JGM so it's entirely possible he belongs to one of those branches.
When you say Alexander Gardiner Milne was illegitimate where does he get the name Milne? Was his mother's name "Christian Milne"?
There certainly looks to be a link but exactly where is the big ?
Perhaps the manager, Colin Bruce Milne, has some further information that he can share.
