-- one of the comments Mike Stangel made when I saw him at the recent IAJGS Conference was that if the Data Conflict was non-trivial then you should not resolve the Data Conflicts unless you could actually determine (eg via documentation or personal knowledge) what the correct value was -- the whole point of Geni having created this Data Conflict Screen was to provide documentation of the different values folks had entered for various fields.
Perhaps the Tutorial should be edited accordingly, so folks will understand that unless and until they have actually determined the correct value (not just what the majority had, or the value entered by someone they think is reliable, or etc.) - and preferably documented why that is the correct value! -- the Data Conflict Screen should remain.
