Jost Riegel (Ruell) - Jost's Surname

I see that Jim Wile has updated Jost's birth surname to "Riegel" on 16 July. The earliest record of him being called "Riegel" is dated 1689, well after his birth year of 1635 (http://stefriegel.lima-city.de/genlang.htm). Stefan Riegel has researched this family extensively and came up with the following timeline of how the surname was recorded:

1556 - Reul (Piesport)
1624 - Ruell (Piesport)
1662, 1665 - Riehell (Becherbach)
1666, 1676 - Riehl (Becherbach)
1680 and later - Riegel (Becherbach)

Since Jost was born in 1635 in Münster Emmel, near Piesport, logically his birth surname would have been Ruell, but certainly not “Riegel.” If we care about accurately recording his birth surname, then I propose changing it to “Ruell,” or even “Reul,” since that’s what we have for Mattheiss, and listing Riehl, Riegell, and Riegel as AKAs, as shown in the Becherbach bei Kirn parish register. Finally, I have never seen any record showing his middle name as “Georg,” so I have deleted it.
