I'm trying to find the parents of Ambrose Hayden 1816-1892 from Carroll County, Maryland and think that somehow he might be related to the Hayden family that Margaret is part of, especially since one of William's sons is also named Ambrose. I noticed on her chart that she's listed as the stepmother of all William Hayden's children. However, in documents that I've read, William Hayden was married twice - first to a Margaret (I'm assuming this Margaret Durbin) and secondly to Catherine Ensey. Catherine was his widow and outlived William by a number of years. John Hayden was William's first born and I'm wondering if he might be Margaret's son, rather than her stepson? John was born in 1777. Would appreciate any information anyone can shed on this -
