Married at the age of 20 to Hendrik Johannes Kruger and resided in Klerksdorp and moved a few times due to husbands job as Engineer in the Mining Industry
During 2006 started studying in the Occpational Health and Safety field and worked on Smelters, Mines, Projects as Safety Officer, Chief Safety officer, Safety Specialist and Safety Manager.
First female captain in surface rescue team gave her the prefix Captain Kruger/ Chief Kruger.
