Mary,d/o William and Mary Wilmot of Woodbridge is not Mary Bray of Monmouth. This Mary should be Mary Compton Campbell, celebrated as the first white child born in Woodbridge, NJ. She married Caleb Campbell of Woodbridge. She and Caleb are buried in Woodbridge.. (continued) two main branches of early Compton families from whom many of the later Compton families can be traced. Comptonology mentions them frequently and clearly differentiates between Monmouth County William married to Mary Bowne and Woodbridge William Compton married to Mary Wilmot. I hope this wil help.
