Parties: William, archbishop of York, and Alexander Radclyff', esquire, querents, and Elizabeth, who was the wife of Thomas Haryngton', knight, deforciant.
Property: 40 messuages, 500 acres of land, 100 acres of meadow, 1000 acres of pasture and 300 acres of wood in Sedbergh' and a moiety of the manor of Sedber, otherwise called Sedbergh'.
Action: Plea of covenant.
Agreement: Elizabeth has acknowledged the tenements and moiety to be the right of the archbishop, as those which the archbishop and Alexander have of her gift.
Warranty: Warranty by Elizabeth for herself and her heirs.
For this: The archbishop and Alexander have granted to Elizabeth the tenements and moiety and have rendered them to her in the court, to hold to Elizabeth, without impeachment of waste, of the chief lords for the life of Elizabeth. And after the decease of Elizabeth the tenements and moiety shall remain to James Haryngton', knight, son of the same Elizabeth, and the heirs of his body, to hold of the chief lords for ever. In default of such heirs, successive remainders (1) to Robert Haryngton', brother of the aforesaid James, and the heirs of his body, (2) to Margaret, Joan, Anne, Katherine and Agnes, sisters of the aforesaid James and Robert, and the heirs of their bodies and (3) to the right heirs of the aforesaid Elizabeth.
