The boys listed as his sons were in fact his brother Thomas, Sr. sons. Thomas Jr. was actually born in Mass. when his mother came over with John (Mad Jack) Oldham and Lucretia (her brother in law and sister in law) After his birth she returned to Derby to her husband. She later died in childbirth and they were raised by their father and grandfather both who died on the same day of the Plague in 1636 and they were sent to live with their uncle John. They were the boys on the ship when the Indians attacked and killed him and his crew. The boy Richard was John's son and their cousin.
