Have anyone tried to verify the information shared by Norman Festus Kendall? I have and A LOT of the data can not be found in originial documents and he appears to have bent the facts to fit his narrative. I'd love to discuss and collaborate on this profile.
Thanks

Thanks for sharing. I saw the link to NFK's work, but it should not be considered primary or orignial documentation or proof. It was his version of events and not necessarily correct or the final version. I'm surprised Geni has locked many Kendall profiles and designated them master.
I have been researching for over 40 years. I have seen a lot of Norman's work. The part of his research which may be most helpful would be all the correspondence he received from other Kendalls across the country. We are trying to track down if his family donated the to a society or library. His published work was less groundbreaking.
There are many (over 8) distinct Kendall Y-DNA groups which do not share a common patriarch or even a common haplogroup. Norman's purposed Kendall lineage includes several of them, so we know there are errors in his research. I have looked for sources to verify his work but have yet to find them.
You can review the DNA project at FamilyTreeDNA or join the Kendall Family Assocaition on Facebook to share your lineage and collaborate with other Kendalls. We have over 1150 members.
As said, I'm not closely related myself. We do make Master Profiles on geni "primarily" to consolidate duplicates, accuracy of the genealogy is up to the profile managers we service. For example John Alden of the Mayflower has over 500 profile managers, but I doubt all citations added to the profile are accurate, as research is still ongoing, etc.
By all means work to correct the geni tree, curators are available to assist locking in more accurate work.
Statement made by Jeremiah Kendall under oath 8 of March 1833 at the Fayette County of Common Pleas Court, Pennsylvania for reason of getting a Revolutionary War pension. Original on record at the National Archives.
…”From this camp at White Marsh we marched into winter quarters at Valley Forge. This was the early part of December 1777. We, after reaching Valley Forge engaged in building other houses for the accommodation of the army at this camp I was discharged about two weeks before expiration of my time which would have been 1st May 1778 in consequence of receiving a letter from home announcing the death of my father, which I later showed to the General who did not hesitate a moment in discharging me”….

Is there any documents proving the "middle" name of Savage? I believe someone added it to help support their claim to the Savage and Kendall families in Northampton County, Virignia.
The Stafford County Kendall family or Virginia Northern Neck Kendalls do not share a Y-DNA signature with the Northampton County or Virginia Eastern Shore Kendall family. It appears they do NOT share a common progenitor. The VES family has origins in Norfolk England while the VNN family has connections to Lancashire and the Lake District of England.
I'm okay with removing the Savage from his formal name, though I left it in the AKA field to help with 'background matching'.
FYI: The "I" and "II" for this William & his father are simply a 'generational convention' to help in differentiating them when folks may be examining profiles from a list or side-by-side views. They were not likely ever really known as "Jr." or "Sr."
The Savage is a nod to a link with the Savage family of Northampton County, VA which has been proven inaccurate. There is no relationship between this Kendall family and the Savage family. So the use of the name or identifier is misleading and inaccurate. The "I" and "II" are not necessary if you know the wife's names. Jr and Sr did not mean father and son, but in some instances if one persons was older than the other. They could have been cousins or nephew & uncles.
