Is there proof that John Parmelee, of Lewes and John Parmelee Sr., of Guilford and New Haven are the same person?

I've separated to what we know - the four emigrants to Guilford Connecticut (son, then father, a daughter separately, another daughter attributed, and a widow).

The known persons in the family (named in his will)

Widow Elizabeth Evarts
Son John Parmelee Jr., of Guilford
Daughter in will Hannah Johnson
Daughter not in will Mary (Parmalee) Crampton

YES !

This also means something extremely special, for all of us, if the Parmelee and Holcombe family's are correct in their thinking. See the links below:

I KNOW that WikiTree has Dennis Crampton's family, via his 1st wife; marked as "U.S. President - Direct Ancestor"; regarding President Rutherford B. Hayes !

[[Category: US President Direct Ancestor]]
Ancestor of [[Hayes-229| Rutherford B. Hayes]] 19th US President

Dennis Crampton and Mary Parmelee's daughter, Elizabeth Crampton married John Lee Lee-1458 son of Walter Lee and Mary Hart [Hart-5048], in 1686. Their daughter, Sarah Lee, Lee-1465 married Daniel Hayes. Hayes-578.

The connection to President Rutherford B. Hayes and Presidents Bush are correct. This is in the latest edition of Ancestors of American Presidents, by Gary Boyd Roberts (Boston, MA: New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2012) 62, 533. Gary Boyd Roberts does not have an origin for John Parmelee. Neither does Anderson as of 2014. This origin theory of Lewes is just that a theory and not proven.

There is an older theory that he came from Ockley, Guersey and his family was from perhaps Brussels. See:

Edith Bartlett Sumner, Ancestry and Descendants of Amaziah Hall and Betsey Baldwin (Los Angeles 1954) 145-149

But this is just a theory.

Good sources for him also include:
