Hello. I have been researching my family lineage off and on for years now. Zilpha B Horner wasy 5th great-grandmother, and I am looking for more information about her, her family, and where she is from. I see here that it has her listed as American Indian. Does anyone know what Tribe she was from? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello Zilpha B Horner is also related to me my 5th great grandmother too I believe . I put a query on PowWows . com about her tribal affliation and i recieved a responce from a member called Moonset Lily stating that person was a direct decendant of Zilpha B Horner and she was Lenape/Cherokee from New Jersey . I have not recieved anything back from this person to verify anything .

Hello to you both! Thank you SO much for responding. I have been researching her for quite awhile now, mostly the last few months or so. And i do believe and agree with you, Betty Jo, about being Lenape, based on where she was born. I have so many questions, the first and most important one being, do either of you have any more i formation at all on grandma Zilpha? Her family? Siblings? The story of what exactly happened to them? I am very curious to learn more. Thank you both so much!!

I have a few things from message boards ect. I will have to get it all posted on my family tree here. Zilpha B Horner is still a very big br8ck wall in my family search. Maybe we could all put our information together to form a more complete picture.

Zilpha is my 7th Great-Grandmother. DNA test showed I did not have any Native American heritage. I guess it is too diluted. I would appreciate any information you have gathered in the intervening years.
