William Lee was the son of William Lee and Dorothy Taylor Lee, her mother's Will, that of Elizabeth Taylor, includes William Lee. His father was William Lee, son of Col. Richard Lee. He had a twin, who had drowned. Jennings incorrectly wrote in his first book that this William had died. However, in his second book, he corrects himself, and tells the story of William Lee's early death, and Richard Lee taking the sons to court, and taking the property in which his three sons would have inherited, had they have been of age. They then take him to court, and are rewarded property and money. The three sons are William, Richard, and John.
