"I believe John Foxley's Joan Martyn is the same Joan Martin that was the mother of James Audley. I have not found any death record for Joan Martin Audley to justify the death date of 1311. The Martin COA and the Foxley COA are too similar to be just a coicidence, and the 'lion rampant' on the brass effigy assumed to be the first wife is the de Brienne lion, not the Brocas lion "guardant'. Has anyone looked at this possiiblity before? The timeline fits."
