My William was supposedly born in Arizona in 1869. We think his parents migrated there from Tennessee, this from a census report. I have some confusion because there were two William Owens found in the same area where one of them married my grandmother around 1898 in Grant County, Oregon. The one William seemed to always include his middle name, Farin. Wm Farin Owens was born in West Virginia, he was born around 1881. My grandmothers maiden name was Carrie Evelyn Myers, born in Nebraska around 1880. A divorce record for Wm Owens and Carrie (Myers) Owens was in 2006. There son, my father, Ermal Roland Owens, was born in 1901 in John Day, Oregon. There is a lot of info about the Wm Farin Owens, but I'm stumped by any info on the other Wm. I can find no Middle name or initial on the 1869 Wm. One of these Wm's has to be my grandfather. Almost no info from the family was given to my sister or myself. It seems that our Wm had a problem with opium, there were a lot of Chinese living in the John Day area at that time and our Wm got messed up there. Our Wm was seen alive around Salem Oregon in 1952 and apparently died in 1956.
