There now is a website dedicated to Barnes and Oxford Family Genealogies. We hope you will visit and contribute to our family history. Our goal is for all of us to add to our family history on a frequent basis. If you would like to receive notices when new content is added to the site, complete the Barnes or Oxford Contact Form.
The first post discusses the Reverend Solomon Barnes (1846- 1925) a prominent Baptist minister in the North Carolina Foothills. You may also want to access the Oxford blog. Reverend Isaac Oxford, who is featured, was the grandson of James Barnes and the Great grandson of Brinsley (1713-1794).
It also announces a Barnes Family Reunion: Mark your calendar for May 21 at Cub Creek Park, 206 Bridge Street, Wilkesboro, NC. In a few months, we will have a map on the website. Enter your street address and you can obtain driving directions to the reunion location.
Other Areas of Interest on the Website: The Technology Trends section will probably be an area of ongoing interest. Over the first few months, we will publish several blogs on what you can do with your smartphone.
