Information has come to me that Charles Hamilton II, was married in Birgu, (City of Vittoriosa) Malta 1735, to a Helene Zammit-Alexandri. The couple had three children - two daughters and one son. The daughters were named Barbara Hamilton and Catrina Hamilton. The son was named Charles II, Hamilton, 1738-1800. Charles II was the eldest sibling. Both daughters married into Sicilian/Maltese gentry while Charles II, had a liaison with a royal Ottoman Turkish lady named Dona Chiara Sayd di Bibino Magna. From this union produced a son called Charles III, Hamilton 1760-1844. He too, was stylized Comte de Arran. This third Charles had an affair with a Maltese lady named Marguerite Sacco, a granddaughter of a heroic Maltese nobleman named Dom Gio Maria de Sayd who was executed by Napoleon Bonapartes' troops ( for resisting French invaders) when the island was invaded in 1799. Marguerite and Charles III had a child from this union and they named her Maria Sacco, born 1813. In 1826, this Maria Sacco married Antonio Tabone in Rabat, Gozo Island - part of Malta. They had descendants to this day.
