She was a niece of Alexander I, King of Scots. One speculation is she might have been a daughter of his brother Ethelred.

As a clue to further research only -- Our Royal, Titled, Noble, and Commoner Ancestors & Cousins cites Clan MacFarlane & Associated Clans Genealogy. for the idea she was a daughter of Ethelred's brother Edmund.

It says "Edmund seems most likely of Alexander's siblings to have been her father."
