Hello, my name is Adrian de Larrain from Santiago Chile. I was wondering if anyone could help me? I'm looking for a relative by the name of Edward Neil who died in the year 1840 in Santiago Chile. The only information I have of him is that his name here in Chile was Eduardo Neil O'Donovan and that he hailed from Ireland, though the records just mention "Gran Bretaña" so I'm not sure if he departed from Ireland or another part of Great Britain. Also, in Spanish tradition both family names are used, with the paternal and continuous surname being used first. Therefor Eduardo Neil O'Donovan would of been born Edward Neil, although he used the surname O'Neill as well. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thank you all for your time.
