The facts.
Edward first appears in Wenham in 1653. See Hurd's History of Essex County vol.2 pg.1230.
He is possibly the Edward Walden son of Foulke Waldron of Coventry, England.
We find in Foulke's will (reprinted in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register 51 (1889): 60-61 a listing of his sons Edward, Fulke, John, William, Robert, Alexander, Isaac, George, Samuel and daughters Mary and Catherine.
Alexander, Isaac, Robert, Samuel, and George all came to America and are the ancestors of many of the Walden/Walderne/Waldron families of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. We have numerous documents of these brothers in America referencing one another.
Alexander's will dated 1676 (published in Provincial Papers: Documents and Records Relating to the Province of New Hampshire Vol. 31 pg. 174) names his brother Edward "in the Kingdom of Old England."
According to the will of Foulke, Edward was in England in 1669.
We know he had children born in 1668 and 1670 in Wenham (Theophilus and Elizabeth). And then left a will signed Mar 22 1679.
So are we to imagine Edward arrived in America in 1653 returned to England in 1669 then back to America in time to father a child in 1670 then back to England to be there in 1676 when Alexander made his will in 1676 then back to Wenham by 1679 when he died?
Certainly not.
I believe Edward Walden of Wenham cannot be the Edward son of Foulke of Coventry.
Possibly related to the same family (very many members came to America) but I am not sold on this identification one bit.
