i'm more the art lover then art maker but i do know a few artists and would be glad to support and help as needed.

What sort of art do you like, Private?

Well I've allways been a fan of monet and Edgar Degas and mary casset.. My cousin is the more artsy painter of the family..

The alternative to the Salon de Paris, marks the beginning of common day Modern Art, thanx to mr. Monet and his mates.

It was along time ago, but I was surprised by it's small size and that the dress was really made of some sort of fabric, if I am not mistaken.

This reminds me of the huge contrast between the Auguste Rodin and one of his students, Camille Claudel.

If you visit Rodin's museum in Paris you will notice one, perhaps two examples of Claudel's work.

What she does is so much more real and rough, compared to the over stylised, classical work by Rodin. I love her work!

@Michael mcCann we are cousins...I commented on your profile. I wish I was connected to so many of the artists I love, but I believe only Caravaggio is a long distant cousin.
I got to see one of Degas sculpture while I was in Paris in 92' also went to the Muse Di Rodin @ Dimitri. I was a great experience.

Oh yes, the Dali Museum in Fiorenze too. What a trip it was.

I have been to a Dali expo, one time I was in France, Private User.
I was so much in awe about his hard labour and level of production!

He even took old prints, used them for completely new drawings with non related subjects. Like he was doodling them during phone call conversations!

I'm not sure if I would so loosely utilize the term "related" when speaking as Salvador Dalí's wife's husband's ex-partner's husband's wife's brother's wife's great nephew's ex-wife's third cousin. I've been working on these branches, for quite a while... since, my husband's mother said her father was a 6th cousin or so. (Her maiden surname is Domench) Not as easy, as I had hoped, it would be, to connect my husband's branch, with theirs... though, I have managed to build my Husband's Domenech side back to the Dali i Domenech years, I am still searching for siblings of both sides, on that level etc. to attempt a connection.

BTW: Vincent Van Gogh also, a 20-something-eth- cousin of mine, as well!
